Silence
It’s in silence that we suffer.
In the depths of our stillness.
We crave silence only to fear it once we’ve felt it.
Horrific mirrors, so honest.
Others remind us that we’re okay.
It’s in silence that we suffer.
Of course, silence is the playground of the Divine.
And playgrounds are meant for serious play.
Lonely with that which never leaves us alone.
My God, My God, why haven’t you forsaken us?
It’s in silence that we suffer.
